What Is Shop Pay?

Customers with a keen eye will have noticed recently that Shop Pay has become the latest checkout option that we have added to the Walk London website in recent weeks. Standing out with a purple and white identity within our Payment method options - at the bottom of our site and at the checkout - the feature sees the re-brand of Shopify Pay introduced as a way to complete your order with more convenience. 

To help you understand a little bit more about Shop Pay and how it work's our Head Office team have highlighted some of the key questions that you may have about the payment method below.

What Is Shop Pay?

Shop Pay is our Website platform, Shopify's own payment solution. Available on hundreds of thousands of store across the web, you can use Shop Pay to speed up checking out at participating stores by taking away the need to repeatedly fill out checkout forms or remember account passwords. The solution works by using your email address to recognise you at checkout and automatically fill in your payment and shipping information through the securely encrypted information that you provided.

Who Can Use Shop Pay?

Simply anyone, no matter where in the world you are. To begin using the Shop Pay service you must opt in when at the checkout either on our own store or via another store that offers Shop Pay. When you opt in to Shop Pay, you need to provide the below information for which you would need to complete you order when using our normal checkout:

  • your email address
  • your mobile phone number (used for SMS verification)
  • your billing, shipping address
  • your card information for a valid credit / debit card, including the CVV

To opt into the service click "Save my information for a faster checkout", and then enter the required information highlighted above when going though the checkout. After completing the order, you’ll see a notification on your order confirmation and status page that confirms your information was saved with Shop Pay.

To complete your account set up you will then need to verify your opt in via an SMS Notification. A verification code is sent to the phone number that you saved during opt in. If you can’t verify your account, then you can still complete checkout without using Shop Pay. As an extra layer of security, when you checkout using new devices you will need to verify a purchase via an sms or email code.

How To Use Shop Pay

Once your verified you will start to see the Shop Pay button on product pages or in your cart across the web. To place an order all you will have to do is simply click the Shop Pay button to check out using your saved information. You can review and amend your order information before pressing the complete order button and placing your order

The checkout will automatically by use the cheapest shipping option to your address - we offer free shipping on all orders over £30 Worldwide - to change to an option that is more suited for your needs simply click on the drop down menu and select the shipping method that suits your needs. Likewise your information saved in your account will be used as your delivery address and billing information . To amend this simply add  the information required by click "Add New".

How To Opt Our Or Close A Shop Pay Account
